Another alternative is to head for the home of the Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini - Emilia Romagna. Two of the better known towns, Bologna and Parma, host a number of courses of repute and the region has 27 courses in total. The Bologna Golf Club was designed in 1959 by the English course designers, Cotton and Harris with more recent alterations having been made by Peter Allis. Another option is to play the Bernhard Langer designed course - the Modena Golf & Country Club. Emilia Romagna however, has more to offer than just golf.

Difficult and technical courses as well as elegant and well equipped clubs can be found in a number of places, but rarely so near to wonderful cities rich in art, natural oases, hills dotted with rocks and castles, thermal spas, beaches, friendly people and legendary cooking!
