Occupying the far north eastern corner of Italy, the region of Friuli encompases a beautiful section of the Adriatic coast on which lies Lignano, mid-way between Venice and Trieste. The town, with its 5-mile long beach, is one of the regions top seaside resorts. The 18 hole course is fairly flat with few trees and has been cleverly contoured to be reminiscent of a Floridian style links course. The wind can play a major role on more blustery days on a course that can be enjoyed several times – a necessity to appreciate the finer points of its layout.
